Though the Bahamas share warm, clear waters, diverse wildlife and friendly locals, the islands vary substantially, even from a 20 minute sea plane from one destination to the next. That’s part of the adventure when searching for the perfect island. You’re almost guaranteed to find one that captures your imagination—whether you’re planning a 150-person wedding extravaganza or an intimate vow renewal far removed from the world. An Exuma wedding on pink sand beaches is perfect for a secluded getaway to reconnect. You might try a Grand Bahamas wedding for a family-friendly venue, and for a lively beach escape try our weddings in Nassau package. Better yet (since no one said you have to choose), island-hop and see why it is so difficult to pick a favorite.

Grand Bahama Island offers plenty of amenities while keeping its charm as a quaint Caribbean town. Home to one of the world’s largest underwater cave systems, three national parks and aviary sanctuaries, there’s plenty of nature to explore both on and off land. When you’re not busy hanging at the beach, golfing, and shopping, be sure to fill up at one of the local fish fries.

Just north of Nassau lies Paradise Island, which is known for its white, sandy shorelines that melt into the clear waters. The island boasts numerous luxury hotels and resorts, with accommodations ranging from golf courses to tropical aquariums and hopping nightlife. If you are looking for seclusion, try Adelaid or Lyford Cay, where you and your other half will likely be the only beach-goers around. Swimming with Bottlenose dolphins is also a popular island activity at Blue Lagoon Island, and Sandy Toes beach is a private enclave to hole up in a hammock and unwind.

Nassau-BahamasNASSAU

The Bahamian capital city is known for its vivid nightlife and patchwork of colonial and modern architecture. Today, stunning Victorian mansions, cathedrals and ancient forts offer numerous locations to marry at or visit while honeymooning.  Like other Bahamian islands, Nassau is a natural destination for outdoor activities and water-sports, whether you care to swim with dolphins, jet-ski or just hang at the beach. There are also plenty of museums and cultural attractions to check out—like Queen’s Staircase, which was carved out of solid limestone in the late 18th century.

The Exumas is a 120-mile-long island chain divided into three major areas- Great Exuma, Little Exuma, and the Exuma Cays. Exuma has bright, turquoise waters perfect for spotting starfish and conch shell diving. Though not native to the water, you may even catch a “domesticated” pig swimming out near your boat on Major’s Spot Cay, where these gentle giants expect to be fed by friendly visitors. The laid-back capital of George Town is also a must-see, with great restaurants and shopping.

A lucky couple will be treated like royalty early in the new year after winning a dream wedding in the Berry Islands, The Bahamas, which is touted as a haven for champagne wishes and caviar dreams.

The couple will be among a total of 16 couples who will be named winners of The Islands Of The Bahamas’ 16 Islands Wedding Invitation.  The major promotional initiative launched February 14, invites couples throughout the continental United States to enter to win one of 16 dream weddings.  Each wedding will take place on a different island of The Bahamas on January 16, 2015 at 16:00.

The Berry Islands, one of the couples’ Bahamas destinations, are commonly referred to as having more millionaires per square mile than most places on Earth.  One large Bahamas real estate company boasts of the Hollywood royalty that have been lured to the islands over the years.

“It’s said that Cary Grant danced the night away in the clubhouse of Great Harbour Cay (Berry Islands) and Brigitte Bardot loved the beaches,” according to ColdwellBankerBahamas.com.

Located 150 miles east of Miami, the Berries are a chain of islands and cays that cover about 30 square miles. The total landmass is just over 12 square miles, and the Berry Islands have approximately 700 residents.

The population increases seasonally as travelers visit from all over the world and high net worth individuals and families retreat to the Berries as a winter haven.

Seclusion and privacy make the Berry Islands the perfect choice for a dream wedding and the Carriearl Boutique Hotel has partnered with TIOTB  to accommodate the lucky couple that wins a dream wedding on that island.
